Pathways, Inc. is a community behavioral health provider and sober living operator based in eastern Kentucky, running long-term recovery homes for men in Morehead and Grayson alongside a much larger network of outpatient and crisis services across the region.

A Community Behavioral Health Provider Since 1967

Pathways has served eastern Kentucky for more than half a century, and its residential recovery programs sit inside a much larger organization that also runs children's services, developmental disability supports and crisis stabilization. That scale means a resident referred into one of its recovery homes is entering a system with far more resources behind it than a single stand-alone sober house.

Two Men's Recovery Homes in Eastern Kentucky

Pathways runs two long-term residential recovery programs for adult men:

• The Morehead Inspiration Center, on US-60 in Morehead, Rowan County.
• Genesis Recovery Kentucky Center, on C W Stevens Boulevard in Grayson, Carter County.

Both operate under the same nine-to-twelve-month, phase-based model, and both are Recovery Kentucky-style residential programs built around peer accountability and a structured path toward employment. A resident who needs to move between the two can do so without leaving the organization that already has his history.

CARF Accreditation Across the Portfolio

Pathways holds accreditation from CARF International for its residential programs, a national standard that reviews staffing, safety and outcomes on a multi-year cycle. That accreditation covers the clinical side of the organization's work and sits alongside.

Serving Rowan and Carter Counties

Morehead and Grayson sit about thirty miles apart along US 60 in Kentucky's eastern foothills, and Pathways' two men's recovery homes give the organization a footprint across both Rowan and Carter counties. Morehead State University and Rowan County's court system anchor one end of that footprint, and Carter County's own courts and services anchor the other.

Certification for Kentucky Recovery Housing

Kentucky law requires certification for recovery residences, and a court, treatment provider or state agency cannot refer someone to an uncertified house. Anyone working with Pathways' residential programs should ask directly whether a given home currently holds certification through the Kentucky Recovery Housing Network, since CARF accreditation and state certification are not the same thing.
