About Next Chance

Next Chance is a sober living operator based on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, running certified recovery homes for women across Barnstable and Plymouth counties. Lana Atamian founded and runs the organization, which has grown to four certified entry-level houses plus a pair of graduate homes for residents further along in recovery.

A Cape Cod and South Shore Recovery Housing Provider

Next Chance houses supply structure, peer accountability and a stable address for women coming out of treatment, detox or unstable housing. Weekly accountability groups, house meetings, ongoing 12-step engagement, a custom resident phone application and in-house peer leaders run consistently across every property Lana Atamian operates.

Four Certified Homes Across Two Counties

Next Chance runs four MASH-certified entry-level sober living homes for women:

• Farm House, in Forestdale.
• Pond House, in East Falmouth.
• The Ham House, on Main Street in Wareham.
• Shore House, on Shore Road in Pocasset.

Three sit within Barnstable County on Cape Cod, and the Ham House extends the operator's reach into Plymouth County. All four carry NARR Level II certification through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing.

A Step-Up Path to Graduate Housing

Beyond its four certified entry-level homes, Next Chance also runs graduate-level housing for women who have sustained six months or more of sobriety and are ready for less day-to-day structure. Those graduate homes are not MASH-certified and operate as a further step for residents already established in recovery, giving residents at any of the four certified houses somewhere to go once they are ready for it.

Serving Women on Cape Cod and in Wareham

Next Chance concentrates its certified homes around East Falmouth, Forestdale, Pocasset and Wareham, a footprint that spans the Upper Cape and the South Shore side of the Cape Cod Canal. That geography lets the operator serve women from both regions without asking any of them to relocate far from family or existing outpatient providers.

Who Next Chance's Sober Homes Serve

The four certified houses suit women coming out of detox, residential treatment or an unstable living situation who need a structured first address in recovery. The organization's internal graduate-housing option then gives longer-sober residents a next step without having to leave the network they already trust.
