Mending Hearts
About Mending Hearts
Mending Hearts is a nonprofit sober living and recovery housing operator in Nashville, Tennessee, running two campuses for women across Davidson County.
A Nashville Recovery Housing Provider Since 2004
Founder and CEO Trina Frierson built Mending Hearts after her own experience with addiction, homelessness, incarceration and the loss of custody of her children, and the organization has since provided care to more than 7,500 women.
Two Campuses, One Continuum of Care
The West Campus houses 110 women across thirteen buildings for longer-term residential recovery, averaging three to six months per stay, while the East Campus holds 60 women for medically monitored detox and earlier-stage residential treatment.
Never Turned Away for Inability to Pay
Mending Hearts states directly that no woman is refused treatment because she lacks insurance or cannot pay, a policy the organization has held since its first eight-woman house in 2004.
Certification and Accreditation
The organization is a certified organization under the Tennessee Alliance of Recovery Residences and is separately accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, a national standard for rehabilitation service quality.
Medication-Assisted Treatment for Women
Mending Hearts offers medication-assisted treatment as part of its continuum, pairing medication for opioid use disorder with counseling and case management, so residents are not made to choose between housing and prescribed treatment.
Reaching Mending Hearts in Nashville
The organization plans treatment programs and services for 1,500 women annually across both campuses, and can be reached directly to begin an intake assessment.
