Living Clean and Inspired
About Living Clean and Inspired
Living Clean and Inspired is a sober living operator based in Thurston County, Washington, running certified men's recovery homes across Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater. The organization was started by someone who had watched men leave treatment, incarceration or homelessness in the area with nowhere structured to go, and it has since grown into the largest single cluster of certified men's sober housing in the county, with thirteen homes on record.
A Thurston County Sober Living Operator
Living Clean and Inspired is a housing organization built around a substance-free, structured living model for men. Clinical care, when a resident needs it, comes from outside providers in Olympia and Lacey; the operator's job is keeping the houses consistent, the rules the same from one address to the next, and every resident working toward a stated goal.
Homes Across Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater
Living Clean and Inspired runs men's sober living homes at the following names, all within a few miles of each other along the same Thurston County corridor:
- Kiernan's Place, New Freedom, New Beginnings I, New Beginnings II, New Direction and Living Clean, in Lacey.
- Denison Ranch, New Beginnings III, New Beginnings IV, Nine Strong and Malachi's Place, in Olympia.
- We Rise, in Tumwater.
Concentrating that many homes in one small area means a resident who needs a different house, whether for a fresh start or a different set of housemates, is dealing with an organization that already knows him instead of an unfamiliar operator across the state.
A Program Built on Four Pillars
Every Living Clean and Inspired residence runs on the same four commitments: goal-setting in education, employment and independence; supportive peer community; mindfulness practice; and a personal mission statement each resident writes and keeps updating. The consistency across all thirteen homes is deliberate, so a resident moving between addresses is not learning a new program each time.
WAQRR Certification Across the Portfolio
Washington does not require sober homes to certify, yet Living Clean and Inspired's residences hold Level 2 certification through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences, the state's NARR affiliate. That means a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules before move-in, and a complaint process a resident can take outside the house.
Serving Men in Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater
The operator's footprint covers Thurston County's three largest cities: Lacey, Olympia, the state capital and county seat, and Tumwater immediately to its south. That geography puts residents within reach of the county's courts, outpatient providers and community college regardless of which address they are assigned to.
Who Living Clean and Inspired Homes Are For
The organization takes men coming directly out of inpatient treatment, incarceration or homelessness, provided they are ready to work toward education, employment or independent living during their stay. Someone needing on-site clinical supervision is not a fit; someone ready to build a routine around a job, a class or a recovery plan is exactly who these houses were built for.
