Malachi's Place Men's Recovery Home

About this Recovery Home

Malachi's Place is a men's sober living home in Olympia, Washington, the seat of Thurston County, operated by Living Clean and Inspired. It holds Level 2 certification from Washington's Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences.

A Men's Sober House in Olympia

Malachi's Place houses men transitioning out of inpatient treatment, incarceration or homelessness, the same population every Living Clean and Inspired home is built around. Olympia's concentration of state offices, courts and outpatient providers gives residents a working list of appointments within the city itself.

A Personal Mission Statement as a Working Plan

Residents at Malachi's Place are asked to write a personal mission statement early in their stay, one of the four pillars the operator builds every house around. The house treats it as a document to return to, not a one-time exercise, when a resident needs to measure how far he has come.

Certified Through Washington's NARR Affiliate

Certification is voluntary in Washington, and Malachi's Place carries Level 2 status through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences anyway. That commits the house to a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules, and an outside complaint process.

Part of a Thurston County Recovery Network

Malachi's Place is one of several men's homes Living Clean and Inspired runs across Olympia, Lacey and Tumwater, giving a resident who needs a change of address other certified options inside the same organization.
