Impact Life
About Impact Life
Impact Life is a Delaware sober living operator and behavioral health organization running certified recovery residences the length of the state, from Wilmington to the Sussex County coast. Fourteen of its recovery homes hold certification from the First State Alliance of Recovery Residences, and the organization pairs that housing with outpatient care, peer support, outreach and reentry services.
A Statewide Delaware Recovery Housing Provider
Most recovery housing providers work one town. Impact Life works all three counties, which is the defining fact about it as an operator. A person leaving treatment in Wilmington and a person leaving incarceration in Seaford apply to the same organization, meet the same expectations and pay into the same fee structure. That reach also means the organization can move someone between regions when a job, a family obligation or a court requirement pulls them, without asking them to start over with a new provider.
Impact Life Sober Homes and the Towns They Serve
Fourteen certified Impact Life recovery residences operate across Delaware:
- Curtis Recovery Residence, Wilmington, for men.
- Gilpin Recovery Residence, Wilmington, for women.
- Woodlawn Recovery Residence, Wilmington.
- Milltown Recovery Residence, Wilmington, for women.
- Pike Creek Recovery Residence, Wilmington, for women.
- Richardson Park Recovery Residence, Wilmington, for men.
- Liberty Recovery Residence, Harrington, for men.
- Smyrna Recovery Residence, Smyrna.
- Church Street Recovery Residence, Milford, for men.

- Milford Recovery Residence, Milford.
- Unity House, Seaford, for women with children.
- Arch Recovery Residence, Seaford, for women with children.

Six sit in and around Wilmington in New Castle County. The rest are spread through Kent and Sussex, in Harrington, Smyrna, Milford, Seaford and Lewes, which is where certified beds in Delaware are hardest to find.
Men's Sober Houses, Women's Recovery Homes and Family Housing
The portfolio is organized by population. Men's houses run in Wilmington, Harrington and Milford. Women's houses run in Wilmington and Milford. Three residences, in Seaford and Lewes, take women with their children, which is the scarcest category of recovery housing in the state and the one this operator has invested in most visibly. Alongside the houses, Impact Life runs a peer support doula program for pregnant and parenting women and The Sanctuary at its farm outside Seaford, a transitional residential program for the same population.
How This Sober Living Operator Handles Addresses and Admissions
Impact Life does not publish the street addresses of its recovery residences, and placement is arranged through the organization. Delaware's Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health follows the same practice, listing every recovery residence in the state by town with the exact location withheld. Admissions is therefore the single door in. One application is considered against every house the organization runs, which is the practical argument for a multi house operator over a standalone sober home: a full house in one town does not end the conversation.
Certification Across the Impact Life Portfolio
Delaware issues no license for recovery residences, so certification through FSARR, the state's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, is the only external standard on the public record. It is granted residence by residence, and this operator carries it on all fourteen. Certification commits each house to a published code of ethics, to written disclosure of fees and rules before move in, to a documented relapse and discharge policy, and to a complaint process that reaches outside the house.
Recovery Housing Run With atTAcK Addiction
Impact Life states that it operates recovery residences in partnership with atTAcK addiction, the Delaware family founded organization known for its overdose prevention and naloxone work. The state treatment directory attributes two of the Wilmington houses to atTAcK addiction while the certification registry lists them under Impact Life. Both records describe the same partnership, and a resident of either house deals with Impact Life for admission and house business.
Programs Beyond Housing From This Recovery Housing Provider
Housing is one arm of the organization. Impact Life also runs recovery community centers including the Wilmington Recovery Cafe, street outreach and overdose prevention training, outpatient behavioral health services, a certified community behavioral health clinic, residential treatment, and a reentry program for people leaving incarceration. For a resident, the effect is that the housing sits inside a service network under one roof, and a change in what someone needs does not necessarily mean a change in who provides it.
