About Awakening Behavioral Health

Awakening Behavioral Health is a Utah sober living operator that runs Renaissance Ranch, a men's-only sober living and addiction treatment brand based in Bluffdale with recovery housing across Salt Lake County. Renaissance Ranch has operated for more than 25 years and was founded by people who went through addiction recovery themselves.

A Men's-Only Sober Living Operator

Renaissance Ranch serves men exclusively across every property it runs, on the position that men and women recover differently and do best in gender-specific housing. Women seeking a comparable program are referred to Renaissance Refuge, a sister organization based in Idaho.

Three Salt Lake County Locations

Awakening Behavioral Health runs Renaissance Ranch sober housing at three addresses in this part of the state:

  • A recovery residence on Cinnamon Ridge Road in Sandy.
  • Sober living on the primary residential campus in Bluffdale.
  • A residential treatment site in Draper.

All three sit within a short drive of each other along the southern Wasatch Front, and the organization also runs locations in Logan, Brigham City and St. George elsewhere in Utah.

Licensed Recovery Residences Under Utah Law

Every Renaissance Ranch address that houses residents is licensed through the Utah Department of Health and Human Services Office of Licensing, under Utah Code 26B-2-117. Licensing in Utah is mandatory statewide, so a family evaluating any Renaissance Ranch location can check the same enforceable state record.

CARF Accreditation and National Standing

Renaissance Ranch holds accreditation from CARF, an independent accrediting body for behavioral health organizations, and is a member of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers. It also reports tracking outcomes through an independent research group, which is a level of outside review a smaller operator typically does not carry.

A Four-Phase Recovery Model

The organization structures care in four phases: medical detoxification, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and residential support, and a long-term alumni community it calls its Band of Brothers. The Bluffdale campus anchors residential treatment, while Sandy and Draper extend that structure to more men across the valley.
