Nova House Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Nova House is a sober living home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in Milwaukee County, run by the nonprofit Wisconsin Community Services as part of its human services continuum for people in recovery.

A Milwaukee Sober House Backed by a Larger Nonprofit

Nova House operates under Wisconsin Community Services, an established nonprofit with programming that extends beyond housing into reentry support and case management for people with justice system involvement. That backing gives Nova House access to resources and referral relationships a standalone sober house typically does not have.

One of Two WCS Recovery Homes

Wisconsin Community Services also operates Sankofa House elsewhere in Milwaukee, giving the organization two distinct addresses under one nonprofit umbrella. A resident who needs a different environment can be considered for the other house without leaving the organization.

Recovery Housing in Milwaukee County

Milwaukee County holds the largest concentration of recovery housing in Wisconsin, and Nova House sits inside a city with a dense network of outpatient providers, courts and reentry services that Wisconsin Community Services already works with directly.

Confirming a Placement

No street address for Nova House is published online. Wisconsin Community Services manages intake directly, and referrals often come through the courts or a corrections-related case manager in addition to direct applications.
