Mooring House is a men's residential recovery house in Appleton, Wisconsin, in Outagamie County, operated by Apricity as the men's side of its residential treatment program for the Fox Valley.

Mooring House takes men only, so the daily schedule, house meetings and shared living space are designed around one population. Appleton is the seat of Outagamie County and the hub of Wisconsin's Fox Valley, which puts outpatient treatment, employers and the county court system within easy reach of anyone rebuilding a routine here.

The Residential Phase and Daily Structure

Men here begin with roughly 30 days of intensive inpatient care built around daily group therapy. Residents who complete that phase move into transitional housing and, eventually, an apartment-based program for men ready for more independence, with aftercare continuing for up to twelve weeks once a resident leaves Apricity housing entirely.

Part of a Six-House Network

Apricity also runs Casa Clare, the women's residential house in Appleton, and four sober living homes across the Fox Cities: Mahalo and Mana for men, Ohana and Ola for women. Mahalo is where men in early sober living start and Mana is the peer-run house they move to after about three months, so a man leaving Mooring House has a defined next step inside the same organization.

Certification and Registration

Wisconsin has no state license for recovery housing. The Wisconsin Association of Sober Housing certifies residences voluntarily and lists all four Apricity sober living homes at NARR Level II, while the Department of Health Services keeps a separate self-attested registry with no inspection behind it. Residential treatment sits under a different regime than sober living, and a family should ask Apricity directly which record covers a particular placement.

Appleton sits at the center of the Fox Valley, minutes from Neenah and Menasha and a short drive from Oshkosh, the Winnebago County seat. That corridor carries the region's clinics, its courts and a diversified job market, so a resident keeps every appointment without leaving the area.
