A Rules-Based, Peer-Supported Model

Trinity Transitional Housing runs its houses on occupancy agreements and written house rules, with residents responsible for their own healthcare, therapy and recovery decisions. The organization's stated aim is to help people transition back into independent life after incarceration or inpatient treatment, and it draws a firm line around what it does not provide: clinical, medical or correctional supervision services.

University House operates alongside a group of other Trinity Transitional Housing residences serving men and women across Spokane and Spokane Valley. That network gives a resident somewhere else to turn if her needs change after move-in.

Spokane Valley is part of the same county as the city of Spokane, and residents of University House can reach the county's courts, outpatient providers and larger job base without a long commute. The Valley's own retail and light-industrial employers add a second option closer to home.
