New Freedom Men's Recovery Home

About this Recovery Home

New Freedom is a men's sober living home in Lacey, Washington, in Thurston County, operated by Living Clean and Inspired. The house holds Level 2 certification from Washington's Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences.

A Men's Sober House Built Around Independence

New Freedom takes its name seriously: the program measures a resident's progress by how much of his own life he is running again, not by how much time has passed. Men living here are expected to be working, studying or actively job hunting, and the house treats independence as the goal the entire stay is organized around.

Certified Recovery Housing in Lacey

Level 2 certification through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences means New Freedom has committed to a written code of ethics, discloses its house rules and fees before a resident signs anything, and answers to a complaint process outside the house. In a state where certification is optional, that commitment sets a certified home apart from an unregulated rooming house charging similar rent.

A Personal Mission Statement for Every Resident

Living Clean and Inspired asks every resident to develop a personal mission statement, and New Freedom uses that document as a working plan, not a formality. It gives the house manager and the resident a shared reference point for what independence actually looks like for that individual.

Lacey and the Thurston County Corridor

Lacey sits directly east of Olympia, the state capital and the seat of Thurston County, and the two cities share transit, employers and outpatient providers. A resident at New Freedom has access to that entire corridor without needing a car on day one.
