About this Recovery Home

Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care - Acorn is a men's sober living home in Bremerton, Washington, in Kitsap County, operated by Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care. It holds Level 2 certification from the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences, the state's voluntary certifying body for sober living homes.

A Men's Sober House in Bremerton

Bremerton is the largest city in Kitsap County and home to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, and the Washington State Ferries terminal downtown puts Seattle within an hour for anyone commuting to work, a meeting or an appointment across the Sound.

What WAQRR Level 2 Certification Establishes

Certification through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences is not required of a Washington sober house, so a Level 2 certified home like Acorn has chosen a published code of ethics, written disclosure of fees and house rules before move-in, and an outside complaint process rather and it was under no obligation to. For someone comparing options in Kitsap County, that record is the clearest way to tell a certified recovery residence from an ordinary sober-curious rental.

Structure at an Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care Sober Living Home

Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care runs its houses as transitional housing tied to Kitsap County's therapeutic court programs, and residents at Acorn live under the same nonprofit's model that has operated in the county since 2017. The organization describes its purpose as empowering the community to build innovative housing options for people facing chemical dependency and homelessness, and it also runs a separate Medical Respite Program for people recovering from illness or injury who have nowhere safe to go.

Ferry Access and Recovery Housing in Bremerton

Acorn is one of the certified houses Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care runs across Kitsap County, and applications for any of them go through the organization directly, not an individual house. Someone weighing this men's sober house against another in Bremerton should ask which therapeutic court programs the house works with, whether a bed is open now, and what the transition plan looks like once someone is ready to move toward independent housing.
