Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care

About Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care

Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care is a sober living operator based in Bremerton, Washington, running certified recovery housing across Kitsap County. The nonprofit was established in 2017 to, in its own words, empower the community to build innovative housing for people facing chemical dependency and homelessness, and it has grown into one of the larger certified networks in the county, with more than twenty addresses in Bremerton, Port Orchard and Silverdale.

A Kitsap County Recovery Housing Network

Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care is built on a housing model, not a clinical one. Residents keep their own outpatient providers and prescribers, and the organization's job is to keep the housing stable, the rules consistent across houses, and the referral pipeline from Kitsap County's therapeutic courts and other agencies running. The operator also runs a separate Medical Respite Program for people recovering from an acute illness or injury who do not need hospitalization but have nowhere safe to go.

Certified Houses Across Bremerton, Port Orchard and Silverdale

Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care runs certified recovery homes under the following names, all WAQRR Level 2:

  • Acorn, Acorn 2, Acord 2, Olympic, Oak 1, Oak 2, Oak 3 and Oak 4, in Bremerton.
  • Veneta, Veneta 3 and Lebo Blvd., in Bremerton.
  • Gorst, The Nest, Condo, B & B, Callow, Next Step, 617 1/2 Washington, Washington Ave 1 and 615 Washington Re-Entry, in Bremerton.
  • Church House and Clevenger, in Port Orchard.
  • Impasse, in Silverdale.

Kitsap County's certification registry lists several of these names more than once, which reflects how quickly the network has expanded and not any confusion about which houses are open. The organization also maintains additional supportive housing across the county beyond what is listed by name here.

Working With Kitsap County's Therapeutic Courts

Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care describes itself as involved in all of Kitsap County's therapeutic court programs, which places its houses inside the referral pipeline courts use for people who need stable housing as a condition of a recovery-focused sentence. That relationship is a large part of why the network has grown to this size since 2017.

WAQRR Certification Across the Network

Certification through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences is voluntary in Washington, so an operator that has certified this many houses at Level 2 has chosen a published code of ethics and outside complaint review for each address on its own initiative. WAQRR certifies house by house, so anyone applying should confirm the specific address carries current certification.

Men's, Women's and Coed Sober Houses in One Network

Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care keeps most of its houses single-gender, with a mix of men's and women's addresses and several coed houses, so referrals can be matched to the household that fits, not forced into whatever bed is open.

Recovery Housing Across Kitsap County

Bremerton, Port Orchard and Silverdale together cover most of Kitsap County's population and services, and Eagle's Wings Coordinated Care's spread across all three keeps its network close to the county's courts, ferries and outpatient providers no matter which house a resident is assigned to.
