Angel Haven 1102 Men's Recovery Home

About this Recovery Home

Angel Haven 1102 is a men's sober living home in Midland, Texas, in Midland County. Thriving United, the Permian Basin's peer-led recovery organization, operates the residence, and it holds Level III certification, the state's supervised tier, from the Texas Recovery Oriented Housing Network.

A Men's Sober House Certified by TROHN

Level III certification from TROHN describes a supervised model with staff presence built into the daily schedule, a step up in structure from a peer-managed house. Angel Haven 1102 commits to TROHN's code of ethics, written fee and rule disclosure, and outside complaint review as a condition of that certification.

A Social Model Built on Peer Governance

Thriving United runs its Angel Haven residences on a social model, meaning residents and peer staff, many in their own recovery, share responsibility for running the house day to day.

Recovery Housing in the Permian Basin

Midland is the seat of Midland County and, together with Odessa, anchors the Permian Basin's oil economy. That economy supplies steady entry-level work, which matters directly to a resident building a schedule around a job, meetings and this house.

Thriving United's Network in Midland

Angel Haven 1102 is one of two Angel Haven residences Thriving United operates in Midland, alongside a women's house, Angel Haven 4720. The organization was founded by Pat and Jenn Brown, whose own recovery story is documented in the film Dancing with a Gorilla.
