31B South Church Lane is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs as a recovery house for adult women. Because Pennsylvania licensure is voluntary, the license is a marker that Dante's Place submitted its house rules and resident-rights policy for state review before opening the house to residents.

Peer-Led Sober Living and the C.A.R.E. Model

Every Dante's Place house is led by a House Lead who lives on site, a peer with several months of sobriety who holds residents to the organization's C.A.R.E. values: compassion, accountability, respect and encouragement. Residents are expected to be in outpatient treatment and to share the house's day-to-day responsibilities.

Delaware County Sober Living on Philadelphia's Border

Lansdowne sits directly against Philadelphia's western edge inside Delaware County, and Dante's Place has said it plans to expand into other southeastern Pennsylvania counties. For now, 31B South Church Lane and the organization's other two houses make up its entire footprint.
