23 South Church Lane Women's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

23 South Church Lane is a women's sober house in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs under Act 59.

A Women's Sober House on South Church Lane

Every resident at 23 South Church Lane is an adult woman, and that single-gender structure carries through the whole house: shared bathrooms, house meetings and common space are set up for one population.

What Sober House Licensure Means Here

Pennsylvania does not require every recovery house to hold a state license. DDAP reviewed 23 South Church Lane's policies on resident rights, grievances and discharge before licensing it, and the house now answers to a state inspection schedule the law does not impose on every address.

Four Women's Sober Houses on South Church Lane

79 Blueridge Dr. LLC operates three other women's houses on the same street, at 31A, 33B and 35 South Church Lane, alongside seven men's houses on nearby Oxford Street. A resident can ask the operator about a move to another South Church Lane address if a different set of housemates fits better.

A Delaware County Sober House on Philadelphia's Border

Lansdowne sits on Philadelphia's western border inside Delaware County, and the borough's own SEPTA Regional Rail station gives residents at 23 South Church Lane a way to reach the wider region without a car.
