Transition Lane Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Transition Lane is a men's sober living home in Newark, Ohio, in Licking County.

A Men's Sober House in Newark

Transition Lane serves men eighteen and older through Whole Living Recovery, the Newark-based operator that also runs Norpell Lane for men in the same city. The operator does not publish a street address for this residence; placement runs directly through Whole Living Recovery.

Part of Whole Living Recovery's Network for Men

Alongside Norpell Lane, Transition Lane gives Whole Living Recovery two men's houses in Newark, which means a resident who needs a different set of housemates or a change in structure can raise it with an operator that already knows him rather than starting over elsewhere.

Sober Living Standards in Ohio

Not every sober house in Ohio carries certification. Ohio Recovery Housing, the state's NARR affiliate, certifies homes that commit to a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules, and a relapse and discharge policy an outside body can review, and confirming that status directly with the operator is worth doing before moving in.

Newark anchors Licking County's courts, outpatient providers and entry-level employers, the daily obligations most residents are managing during early recovery. Men leaving treatment anywhere in the county have reason to look at Newark first.
