Beechwood House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Beechwood House is a men's sober living home in Dayton, Ohio, serving Montgomery County, and one of four residences The Friend Agency operates in the city. Five men live there under Ohio Recovery Housing certification at the Managed level.

A Small Men's Sober Living Household

Five beds means a house small enough to run without much bureaucracy. Everyone at the house meeting has a stake in it, and one relapse and discharge policy applies evenly to all five men.

Part of The Friend Agency's Sober Living Network in Dayton

The Friend Agency runs Beechwood House alongside three other certified residences in Dayton, which gives a resident somewhere to move if a house does not fit without leaving the operator or the county behind. Ohio Recovery Housing certifies each residence separately, so the standards travel with the person.

Getting Around Dayton from a Recovery Residence

Dayton is served by the Greater Dayton RTA bus system, which reaches Sinclair Community College, downtown employers and the University of Dayton without requiring a car. For a resident rebuilding a work and treatment schedule from a recovery residence, a functioning transit system is not incidental.
