Harris House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Harris House is a men's sober living home in the Price Hill section of Cincinnati, Ohio, in Hamilton County. New Foundations Recovery Housing, the Cincinnati nonprofit that runs it, certifies the house at the Managed level.

A Men's Sober House in Price Hill

Harris House sits on a quiet street in Price Hill, one of Cincinnati's older west-side neighborhoods, with room for roughly fifteen men. The operator publishes only the neighborhood, not a street address, and placement runs directly through New Foundations.

Brotherhood and Shared Responsibility at Harris House

Residents describe the house around the word brotherhood, and the operator builds toward it deliberately: cooking and grilling together, pickup basketball at the neighborhood parks, and a household run on the same peer-led model New Foundations uses across its houses, where no single resident is in charge. That kind of daily contact is what turns a group of housemates into people who hold each other accountable.

Ohio Recovery Housing Certification at the Managed Level

Harris House carries certification from Ohio Recovery Housing, the state's NARR affiliate, at the Managed level, consistent with the rest of New Foundations' Ohio homes. That certification requires a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules, and an outside complaint process.

Recovery Housing in Cincinnati and Hamilton County

Price Hill sits close to the rest of Cincinnati's west side, within reach of Hamilton County's bus routes, grocery stores and coffee shops that a resident rebuilding daily structure actually uses. Men leaving treatment on the west side of the county often find Price Hill the shortest path to that routine.
