Liberty House Women's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Liberty House is a women's sober living home in Ashtabula, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and serving Ashtabula County. The house is certified at the Managed level and houses three residents.

A Small Women's Sober House in the City of Ashtabula

Three residents makes Liberty House by far the smallest of Lake Area Recovery Center's three certified houses, well below the fourteen and seventeen beds at its two Jefferson houses. The house is wheelchair accessible, and its small size means residents know each other closely.

What Managed Certification Requires of This Sober Home

Ohio Recovery Housing certification obliges a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and a complaint process outside the house, regardless of household size.

Ashtabula and Ashtabula County Recovery Housing

Ashtabula is the county's largest city and a working port on Lake Erie, distinct from Jefferson, the county seat where the operator's other two houses sit. Residents at Liberty House have access to the city's own services separate from the county courthouse in Jefferson.
