Nebraska House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Nebraska House is a men's sober living home on Nebraska Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri, an independent city that carries no surrounding county. Second Chance Recovery operates the house as part of its cluster of St. Louis sober living properties.

A Men's Sober House on Nebraska Avenue

Nebraska Avenue sits in south St. Louis among a set of streets named for U.S. states, and Nebraska House takes its name directly from the street. Men living there share a house built around structure, communal space and a single set of rules.

One of Four Second Chance Recovery Properties

Second Chance Recovery runs Nebraska House alongside Virginia House, Utah House and Pennsylvania House, all in St. Louis. A resident placed at one address has three sister houses in the same organization if circumstances call for a change.

South St. Louis Access and Transit

The Metro bus network reaches south St. Louis's residential streets, connecting Nebraska House to downtown, to Cherokee Street's clinics and to the city's own courts, which St. Louis administers in place of a county government.

Missouri's Voluntary Certification Standard

Missouri does not mandate sober house certification. The Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers runs a voluntary program, and Nebraska House's absence from that list reflects a choice, not a compliance gap.
