Pavillion Place Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Pavillion Place is a men's sober living home in Macks Creek, Missouri, in Camden County, operated by Encompassed Purpose. The house serves the Lake of the Ozarks area, a region with comparatively few dedicated recovery residences.

A Men's Sober House Near the Lake of the Ozarks

Pavillion Place houses men in recovery from substance use in a rural setting well removed from Missouri's larger cities. That distance is often the point: a resident coming out of treatment or incarceration can put real space between himself and the people and places tied to his substance use.

Serving Camden County

Macks Creek is a small community in Camden County, whose seat, Camdenton, anchors the broader Lake of the Ozarks region. Recovery housing in this part of the state is thin, and Pavillion Place gives men from the surrounding towns a local option instead of a drive to Springfield or Jefferson City.

A Rural Setting for Recovery

The Ozarks setting shapes daily life at Pavillion Place differently than a city sober house would. Residents typically need reliable transportation to reach outpatient appointments, employment or meetings, since Macks Creek does not have the transit options a metro location would offer.

Applying to Pavillion Place

Applications for Pavillion Place go through Encompassed Purpose. Questions worth asking before applying include how the program handles transportation to appointments outside Macks Creek, what a typical daily schedule looks like, and what the expectations are around work or volunteering.
