Ruth's House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Ruth's House is a certified men's sober living home in Kansas City, Missouri, in Jackson County, run by Healing House, Inc.

One of Three Men's Sober Homes at Healing House

Ruth's House, Wesley House and McNeely House make up Healing House's men's housing in Kansas City, and a resident who needs a change can move between them without leaving an operator who already knows his history. The street address is not published; Healing House arranges placement directly.

What MCRSP Certification Requires of Ruth's House

Certification by the Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers commits the house to a published code of ethics and a written policy for handling relapse and discharge, with complaints subject to review outside the house itself.

Treatment and Housing Together in Jackson County

Healing House operates CARF-accredited outpatient treatment alongside its housing, so a man at Ruth's House can get clinical care from the same organization that runs the house. Kansas City's location inside Jackson County keeps courts, employers and transit within reach.

How Admission to Ruth's House Works

Healing House, not the house itself, handles intake. A prospective resident should ask about the weekly fee, whether a house manager lives on site, and how a transfer to a different Healing House address would be handled.
