House of Hope Sober Living for Men Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

House of Hope Sober Living for Men is a men's sober living home in Caruthersville, Missouri, in Pemiscot County, run by Help on Hand. It operates alongside the organization's women's house in the same city, giving Help on Hand a program on both sides of the gender line.

A Men's Recovery Home in the Bootheel

The house serves men in recovery from substance use, housed separately from Help on Hand's women's program under the same organization. Caruthersville is a compact city, and a men's-only household here keeps shared space and house expectations focused on one group of residents working through the same stage of recovery.

Serving Pemiscot County

Caruthersville is the seat of Pemiscot County, at the southern end of Missouri's Bootheel, a rural region where structured sober housing is not common. Men coming out of treatment, incarceration or unstable housing in the surrounding Bootheel towns have few nearby alternatives, which makes a Caruthersville-based program like this one a regional resource for the whole Bootheel.

Part of a Two-House Program

This house is the men's counterpart to House of Hope Sober Living for Women, also run by Help on Hand in Caruthersville. Running both under one name and one phone line gives referring counselors and families a single point of contact no matter which gender they are placing.

Reaching Help on Hand

Applications for this house are handled through Help on Hand directly. A prospective resident or referring provider should expect the organization to ask about current treatment status, any outstanding legal obligations, and readiness for a structured, accountable living arrangement before intake.
