Zero Tolerance Sober Living - 42 Union St Men's Sober House

About this Sober House

Zero Tolerance Sober Living is a men's sober living home on Union Street in Taunton, Massachusetts, in Bristol County. It is certified by the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing and holds 14 residents.

A Men's Sober House on Union Street

This house serves men only, separate from the operator's women's house elsewhere in Taunton. Zero Tolerance Sober Living frames its mission around a safe, supportive environment and the idea that everyone deserves a second chance to rebuild.

What MASH Certification Covers

Certification by the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing requires the house to operate under a published code of ethics, disclose its fees and rules in writing before move-in, and answer to a complaint process outside the house. It is also what allows Massachusetts state agencies and the courts to refer residents here directly.

Fourteen Residents on Union Street

A house of fourteen sits in the middle range for certified Massachusetts sober homes, big enough for a real peer network and still small enough for a manager to know every resident. Zero Tolerance runs a phone screening process before confirming a bed at any of its houses.

Taunton's Recovery Housing Landscape

Taunton is the seat of Bristol County, and like several nearby cities it has debated local ordinances aimed at sober housing in recent years. Certification through MASH gives a house like this one a documented standard to point to in that conversation.

Part of a Three-House Network

Union Street is one of three Zero Tolerance Sober Living houses in Bristol County, alongside a women's house on Harrison Avenue in Taunton and a men's house in New Bedford. A resident needing a different set of housemates has two other addresses within the same organization to ask about.
