The Bauer House is a men's sober living home in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, in Barnstable County.

A Men's Sober House in East Falmouth

This sober house serves men in recovery in East Falmouth, a village of the town of Falmouth on Cape Cod. The Bauer House does not publish a street address, so anyone interested in the house works through the operator directly instead of finding it listed publicly, which is common among smaller, less heavily marketed sober homes.

Cape Cod Recovery Housing

East Falmouth is a village of the town of Falmouth, on Cape Cod's Upper Cape, and it falls within Barnstable County, the county covering the entire Cape. That location puts The Bauer House within reach of the outpatient providers and recovery resources that serve the Upper Cape.

What Voluntary Certification Means in Massachusetts

Massachusetts does not require a sober home to certify with the state, and a house can operate legally without doing so. Certification through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing is voluntary but is the one record a family can check independently, since a certified house has agreed in writing to disclose its fees, rules and complaint process.

Reaching The Bauer House

Because The Bauer House keeps a limited public presence, the most direct way to learn about it, including its exact location, is to contact the operator. The questions worth asking are the same ones certification would otherwise answer: what the weekly fee covers, whether a house manager lives on site, and how the house handles a relapse.
