About this Recovery House
Real Recovery 26th Street West is a men's sober living home on 26th Street West in Bradenton, Florida, the seat of Manatee County. It is the southernmost house in Real Recovery's seven-location Gulf Coast portfolio, and the only one below the Sunshine Skyway.
A Manatee County Sober House South of Tampa Bay
Bradenton is its own labor market. The city holds the county courthouse, the county administration, Manatee Memorial Hospital and the retail spine along Cortez Road and 14th Street West, and Sarasota is fifteen minutes south on US-41. For a man from Manatee or Sarasota County, staying in Bradenton means keeping his job, his family contact and his outpatient provider while he changes where he sleeps. MCAT bus routes cover the main corridors, and I-75 puts Tampa inside an hour when a court date or a specialist appointment requires it.
Living Arrangements in This Men's Recovery Residence
The house serves men and comes fully furnished. Renovated kitchen and common areas, high-speed internet, laundry and parking are standard across Real Recovery's properties, and staff with recovery experience are on site around the clock. Random breathalyzer and drug tests run twice a week. Residents share household responsibilities and stay as long as their own progress warrants.
Program Costs at This Bradenton Sober Living Home
The monthly program fee is due on the first business day of the month and includes electricity, water, high-speed internet, cable, trash and all drug and breathalyzer testing. A one-time administration fee of $150 is collected at intake. House cookouts and holiday dinners are covered by the same fee.
What Certification Means for Recovery Housing in Florida
Florida runs a voluntary certification program for recovery residences through the Florida Association of Recovery Residences, the only credentialing entity approved by the Department of Children and Families. Certification binds a house to a published code of ethics, written disclosure of fees and rules, a relapse and discharge policy in writing, and complaint review from outside the household. Because participation is optional, a prospective resident should confirm the current status of any specific address with the operator.
