Mitchell House Sober House

About this Sober House

Mitchell House is a sober living home in Phoenix, Arizona, in Maricopa County. One Direction Arizona LLC operates the residence as one of five certified sober living homes it runs across the Phoenix Valley.

A Sober Living Home in the One Direction Arizona Network

Mitchell House shares an operator with four other certified Phoenix houses: 36th House 1, Purdue House, 17th House and Belmont House. Keeping a resident inside one operator's network means a request to change houses stays a conversation with people who already have that resident's file, rather than a fresh application somewhere new.

AzRHA Level 2 Certification at Mitchell House

Mitchell House holds Level 2 certification from the Arizona Recovery Housing Association, which requires published fees and house rules, a written code of ethics, and an outside channel for complaints. Certification is voluntary in Arizona, so an operator that carries it across its full portfolio, as One Direction Arizona does, has chosen to work inside that oversight rather than avoid it.

Five Sober Homes Under One Operator

One Direction Arizona interviews every applicant before acceptance and reviews program rules and fees as part of that process, a step that applies at Mitchell House the same as at any of the operator's other four Phoenix houses.

Recovery Housing in Phoenix and Maricopa County

Mitchell House sits inside Phoenix's broader Maricopa County recovery infrastructure, which includes the county's outpatient treatment providers, public transit system and a labor market that gives residents somewhere to be during the day, a practical requirement of most structured sober living.
