About Yakima Valley Recovery

Yakima Valley Recovery is a Washington sober living operator running twelve certified recovery homes across Wapato and Yakima, in the Yakima Valley. The organization houses men and women across separate residences.

A Yakima Valley Sober Living Operator

Yakima Valley Recovery supplies housing and peer structure; clinical treatment comes from outside providers, and its residents keep their own outpatient providers and case managers. The organization's role is to keep each house safe, staffed and consistent, whether it sits in Wapato or in Yakima itself.

Twelve Homes Across Wapato and Yakima

Five Yakima Valley Recovery houses sit in Wapato: Vincent's House, Bill's House #1, Bill's House #2, the Family Renewal House and the Yakama House. The remaining seven sit in the city of Yakima: AJ's House, Scenic Manor, Sylvia's Sanctuary, Miles House, Summit House, Top Notch 2 and Allen's House. Concentrating twelve houses across these two communities means residents who move between the operator's homes stay within the same county, courts and outpatient network.

Serving Men and Women in Separate Households

Most Yakima Valley Recovery houses serve men, and Sylvia's Sanctuary in Yakima is reserved for women, which lets the operator serve both without mixing populations inside one building.

WAQRR Certification in Yakima County

Yakima Valley Recovery's homes are certified through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences, the state's voluntary NARR affiliate. Certification requires a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules, and an outside complaint process for each certified address.

Recovery Housing for the Lower Yakima Valley

The Lower Yakima Valley, including Wapato and the Yakama Reservation area, has limited recovery housing capacity relative to the city of Yakima. Yakima Valley Recovery's twelve houses spread across both areas give residents an option close to home instead of a move to a larger city.
