A Houston Recovery Housing Provider

The House of Extra Measures runs a small cluster of sober living homes across Houston, and each house divides by gender instead of mixing residents in one building. The operator also runs its own Goals Coaching program alongside housing, pairing a place to live with structured support toward employment and daily accountability.

Four Houston Sober Living Homes

The operator's Houston houses include the Hoskins House for Men on Hoskins Drive, the Truscon House for Women on Truscon Drive, the 23rd Street House for Men near the Heights, and the newer Melbourne House for men in the Houston Heights area. All four are TROHN-certified, and the Melbourne House carries Level III certification for its medication-assisted treatment focus.

Serving Men and Women Separately

Three of the operator's four Houston houses serve men and one serves women, and each residence keeps to a single gender. That separation lets house rules, meetings and shared space stay consistent for everyone living there.

TROHN Certification Across the Portfolio

Every house The House of Extra Measures runs carries certification from the Texas Recovery Oriented Housing Network, the state's NARR affiliate. TROHN certification is voluntary in Texas, and an operator that certifies every address it runs has committed the whole portfolio to a published code of ethics and outside complaint review.

Support for Medication-Assisted Recovery

The operator's Melbourne House is certified at Level III, TROHN's designation for supervised housing built around medication-assisted treatment. A resident on buprenorphine or methadone who needs housing that will not force a choice between the medication and the address has that option inside this operator's own network.

A Sober Living Operator Serving Houston

All four of the operator's houses sit inside Houston and Harris County, close enough to each other that a resident who needs a different house, a different gender-specific residence, or a lighter or heavier level of structure can raise it with an operator who already knows them, instead of starting over with a stranger.
