The Gateway of Hope

About The Gateway of Hope

The Gateway of Hope is a sober living operator in Kalispell, Montana, providing Christian mentoring and housing for men leaving inpatient addiction treatment across the Flathead Valley.

A Faith-Based Recovery Housing Provider

The Gateway of Hope pairs housing with discipleship, mentorship and financial coaching instead of clinical treatment. Residents keep their own outside providers for anything medical, and the organization's staff focus on the daily structure and spiritual formation that keep a recovery plan on track after treatment ends.

Founded on Personal Recovery

President Aaron McPherson built the organization out of his own recovery from methamphetamine addiction, which began in Montana in 2004. He partnered with an existing ministry to bring a housing and discipleship program to Kalispell in 2021, then separated the work under its own name in 2023 to better fit the needs of the Flathead Valley specifically.

RAM Certification in the Flathead Valley

The Gateway of Hope holds certification through Recovery Access Montana, the state's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences. That record commits the organization to a published code of ethics, written fees and rules, and an outside complaint process, the same standards that apply to any certified sober living operator in the state.

Serving Men Across the Flathead Valley

Kalispell sits at the center of the Flathead Valley in northwest Montana, and the organization draws men from across that region who have completed treatment and need a next step before living on their own. Application goes directly through the organization, not a public admissions office, and its Christian framework is disclosed upfront so a prospective resident knows what he is choosing.
