A Three-Step Program Model

Every resident moves through the same structure regardless of address: a 90-day commitment to living on site, a phase of taking on responsibilities that keep the house running, from meal preparation to leading groups, and graduation once outpatient treatment is complete and income and housing are in place. Surge Recovery adds vocational training in trades like cooking, assembly and construction, plus GED preparation through a partnership with Temple University.

DDAP Licensing Across All Three Addresses

All three Surge Recovery houses are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs under Act 59 of 2017. Licensure in Pennsylvania is voluntary, and an operator that has licensed its entire footprint has taken on state inspection at every address it runs.

Surge Recovery's program is built exclusively for adult men, and running houses in both Kingsessing and North Philadelphia lets the organization serve men from different parts of the city without asking anyone to relocate across town for an opening.
