Stonebridge House
About Stonebridge House
Stonebridge House is a sober living operator in Columbia, Missouri, providing a small, dedicated recovery residence for women in Boone County who are coming directly out of incarceration.
A Small, Focused Reentry Housing Operator
Stonebridge House runs a single four-bed residence built specifically to bridge the gap between prison and independent living. The organization's stated vision holds that a prison sentence ends when someone leaves prison, and its housing model is built around that idea instead of treating release as an ongoing punishment.
A Twelve-Month Housing Window
Women typically stay at Stonebridge House for up to 12 months, working toward independence with the organization's help matching them to outside resources along the way. That longer window gives residents time to rebuild employment, housing history and family relationships before moving on.
Room for Residents' Children
The house includes a separate room for residents' minor children, an accommodation many recovery residences do not make. For a mother leaving incarceration, that detail can be the difference between reunifying with her children during recovery and putting that reunification off indefinitely.
MCRSP Certification
Stonebridge House is listed with the Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers. Certification is voluntary in Missouri, and it commits the organization to a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules, and a complaint process reviewed outside the house.
Serving Boone County and Mid-Missouri
Columbia is the county seat of Boone County and the largest city in mid-Missouri, giving Stonebridge House's four beds access to a wide base of employers, outpatient providers and reentry resources that a smaller town could not support on its own.
