SSTARbirth is the operator of a long-term recovery residence for women in Fall River, Massachusetts, in Bristol County, part of the SSTAR treatment organization.

A Specialty Women's Recovery Program

SSTARbirth was founded in 1994 to serve pregnant, postpartum and parenting women in recovery, and it has run as a family reunification program since, allowing women to live on site with their young children while completing up to six months of treatment.

The program provides individual counseling, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, case management, group therapy, co-occurring disorder education, relapse prevention, expressive arts, and structured curricula including Seeking Safety and Helping Women Recover, alongside an on-site licensed daycare and transportation support for parenting residents.
