Resurrection Power

About Resurrection Power

Resurrection Power is a faith-based recovery housing nonprofit in Washington, Pennsylvania, operating four licensed recovery houses across Washington County since 2001.

A Washington County Nonprofit Since 2001

Resurrection Power has run recovery housing in the city of Washington for more than two decades, under a mission it states as restoring lives and rebuilding futures through faith-based mentoring, life skills training and twelve-step recovery support. All four of its Pennsylvania houses are licensed by the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs.

Four Houses, Split Between Men and Women

Resurrection Power's Washington houses are:

  • Genesis House, on Springfield Avenue, for women.
  • Resurrection House for Women, on Donnan Avenue, for women.
  • Serenity House for Men, on North Main Street, for men.
  • Trinity House for Men, on West Prospect Avenue, for men.

Faith-Based Mentoring as the Organizing Model

Resurrection Power pairs each house with faith-based mentoring and twelve-step support instead of delivering clinical treatment on site, leaving medical and outpatient care to providers elsewhere in Washington. That division of labor is deliberate: the organization's role is stable housing and mentorship, and residents keep their own treatment relationships intact.

Licensure Across the Portfolio

Every Resurrection Power house carries an active license from the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs under Act 59, a voluntary program that only some Pennsylvania recovery houses choose to carry. Running a full four-house portfolio under that license reflects a sustained institutional commitment, not a one-time step.

Nonprofit Transparency

Resurrection Power operates as a registered nonprofit serving Washington County, and its public standing as a nonprofit is itself part of what a family vetting a recovery housing provider can check, separate from the licensure question.

One Application, Two Genders, One City

A prospective resident applies to Resurrection Power directly, and the organization places men at Serenity House or Trinity House and women at Genesis House or Resurrection House for Women, all within the city of Washington. A transfer between the operator's own houses stays inside the same case management relationship.
