Olympia Sober Housing
About Olympia Sober Housing
Olympia Sober Housing is a sober living operator based in Olympia, Washington, running certified recovery residences in Thurston County. The operator manages three houses, split between men's and women's residences, and was recognized with the 2019 Vision of Hope award from the South Puget Sound Community Partnership for Transition Solutions for its work in recovery housing.
A Thurston County Recovery Housing Provider
Olympia Sober Housing supplies the housing, structure and peer accountability that recovery requires day to day, while residents keep their own outpatient providers, therapists and meetings elsewhere in the city. Each house runs the same core program, so a resident moving between them keeps a familiar structure even if the address changes.
Three Sober Homes in Olympia
Olympia Sober Housing operates:
- 37th Court House, on 37th Court SE in Olympia, for men.
- Ranger House, on Ranger Drive SE in Olympia, for men.
- The Lake House, on Larch Street SE in Olympia, for women.
All three sit within the city of Olympia, keeping the operator's footprint tight enough that a transfer between houses does not mean leaving the same neighborhood, bus routes or providers behind.
Serving Men and Women Separately
Two of the three houses serve men and the third serves women, and Olympia Sober Housing keeps each gender in its own residence instead of mixing genders inside one building. That split lets house rules, meetings and shared living space stay built around one population.
WAQRR Certification on Every House
All three Olympia Sober Housing residences are certified through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences, Washington's NARR affiliate. Certification is voluntary under Washington law, so an operator carrying it across its full portfolio has chosen a published code of ethics and outside complaint review as a voluntary standard.
A Structured Introductory Period
Every Olympia Sober Housing residence opens with a 30-day period built around a 10 PM curfew, a 5 AM minimum departure time and no overnight guests or absences, followed by an open-ended stay with no fixed exit date. That consistency across all three houses means the expectations do not change if a resident later moves from one house to another.
Recovery Housing for the State Capital Region
Olympia is both the seat of Thurston County and the state capital, giving Olympia Sober Housing residents access to state offices, courts, outpatient treatment and Providence St. Peter Hospital without leaving the city. That concentration of services is a large part of why the region's recovery housing tends to cluster here.
