Miracles of Dignity
About Miracles of Dignity
Miracles of Dignity is a sober living operator for women in Worcester, Massachusetts, running certified sober homes in Worcester County under the same organization as Men of Dignity. Its Camp Street property is divided into separate seven-resident units, and the operator has said publicly that it plans to open a second Worcester location.
A Women's Sober Living Operator in Worcester
Miracles of Dignity houses women exclusively, in contrast to its sister organization Men of Dignity, which runs men's houses elsewhere in the city. Both share a Worcester office and phone line, along with the same House Mentor model, but residents themselves are never mixed.
Two Certified Units on Camp Street
- Miracles of Dignity - Camp St 2, on Camp Street, for women.
- Miracles of Dignity - Camp St 3, on Camp Street, for women.
The Camp Street property is split into multiple seven-resident units rather than run as one large house, which keeps each group small enough for a House Mentor to know every resident by name while still sharing one address and one set of rules.
House Mentors and a Shared Recovery Model
Miracles of Dignity uses the same framework as its sister organization: a House Mentor staffed at the property, an online system for meeting attendance, overnight requests, payments and maintenance, and a grievance process that runs through the same channel. The approach is described as addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual sides of recovery together.
MASH Certification for Women's Recovery Housing
Both Camp Street units are separately certified by the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing, which requires a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules before move-in, and a complaint process outside the house. It is also what makes the property eligible for state agency and court referrals.
Growing Beyond Camp Street
Miracles of Dignity has said it plans to open a second women's location on Main Street in Worcester. A second address would let the operator offer a different set of housemates or a different pace of house life to a woman who has already gone through intake once, without asking her to start over with an unfamiliar organization.
Worcester County
Worcester is the seat of Worcester County and the largest city in central Massachusetts, with hospitals, colleges and outpatient treatment concentrated inside city limits. Worcester Regional Transit Authority buses reach most residential streets, which keeps work, meetings and appointments reachable without a car.
