Isaiah House
About Isaiah House
Isaiah House is a sober living operator in Ellijay, Georgia, running a men's recovery residence in Gilmer County since 2008.
A Men's Recovery Housing Provider Since 2008
Ed and Sally Jeffery founded Isaiah House in Ellijay on August 21, 2008, and the organization has run the same men's program there since, built around six areas of structured recovery: sobriety, mental health, physical health, spiritual health, money management and manhood development.
A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit With National Affiliations
Isaiah House holds memberships with the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, NAADAC, the Transitional Housing Offender Re-entry network and the Georgia Alliance to End Homelessness, a set of affiliations built around serving men coming from incarceration as well as from treatment.
Structured Programming for Men 25 to 55
The organization accepts men between 25 and 55 years old, and its curriculum runs twelve-step and scripture study alongside individual counseling, financial training and job preparation, covering both the spiritual and practical sides of early recovery.
Based in Gilmer County
Ellijay serves as the seat of Gilmer County in the north Georgia mountains, a part of the state with comparatively few certified recovery housing options, giving Isaiah House a service area that extends well past the county itself.
