About GRAND Mental Health

GRAND Mental Health is a nonprofit behavioral health system based in northeastern Oklahoma, operating certified recovery housing for men in Tulsa. Its residence is certified at Level 3 by the Oklahoma Alliance for Recovery Resources.

A Regional Behavioral Health System

GRAND Mental Health grew out of the former Grand Lake Mental Health Center, which merged with 12&12, Inc., another established Oklahoma addiction treatment provider, to form the organization operating today. That history gives GRAND a clinical footprint across a large stretch of northeastern Oklahoma, well beyond the single certified recovery residence it runs in Tulsa.

One Certified Recovery Residence

Among GRAND's much larger network of clinics and treatment programs, one residence carries OKARR certification for men, Level 3, current through mid-2027. GRAND's own site describes it as a long-term recovery house, supported in part through a partnership with the Tulsa Area United Way.

What Level 3 Certification Requires

The Oklahoma Alliance for Recovery Resources is Oklahoma's sole recognized certifier of recovery residences. Level 3 certification requires a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and acceptance of outside complaint review, on top of a structured staffing model.

A Provider With Clinical Services Behind It

Because GRAND runs a wide range of behavioral health services separately from this residence, including its own licensed addiction recovery center, a resident coming through the recovery house has access to a much larger continuum of care than a standalone sober house could offer on its own.

Serving Northeastern Oklahoma

GRAND Mental Health's clinical network spans dozens of counties in northeastern Oklahoma, and its single certified recovery residence in Tulsa sits inside that same regional footprint, giving residents access to the organization's broader services without leaving the system that houses them.
