Gaudenzia runs addiction treatment and recovery housing programs across Pennsylvania and neighboring states, and its Philadelphia recovery housing is one piece of that larger nonprofit network. That scale gives residents access to a clinical infrastructure, referral relationships and staffing standards built up over a long institutional track record.

Two Licensed Philadelphia Recovery Houses

• Gaudenzia Recovery House, a men's residence on School House Lane in East Falls.
• Gaudenzia at Riverview Wellness Village, a recovery residence on State Road in Holmesburg.

The two addresses sit in different sections of the city and serve different roles within Gaudenzia's Philadelphia footprint, one a standalone recovery house, the other part of a larger city-backed wellness campus.

Recovery Housing Inside Philadelphia's Wellness Initiative

Gaudenzia is one of the providers the City of Philadelphia partnered with to build Riverview Wellness Village, a recovery housing campus along the Delaware River for people leaving inpatient treatment, according to the city's Managing Director's Office. That partnership puts Gaudenzia at the center of one of the city's largest current investments in recovery housing.

Act 59 Licensure Across Gaudenzia's Housing

Both Philadelphia residences are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs under Act 59 of 2017. The Pennsylvania Alliance of Recovery Residences also runs a separate voluntary certification track in the state, distinct from the DDAP license both houses already hold.

Serving Philadelphia's Recovery Community

Between East Falls and Holmesburg, Gaudenzia's Philadelphia recovery housing spans opposite ends of the city, giving the organization a footprint that reaches residents well beyond a single neighborhood.
