About Endeavor Sober Living, LLC
Endeavor Sober Living, LLC is a sober living operator with recovery homes in Arnegard and Minot, North Dakota. Both houses are funded through the state's Recovery Housing Assistance Program, which makes this one of only four providers North Dakota pays to house people leaving treatment.
A Sober Living Operator Working Two Ends of North Dakota
Most recovery housing providers in this state work one town. Endeavor works two, and they are nowhere near each other. Arnegard is out in McKenzie County in the Bakken oil region, close to the Montana line. Minot is on the northern tier, several hours northeast, in the Souris River valley. Running houses that far apart is a deliberate choice about coverage. It puts a bed in two parts of North Dakota where recovery housing is genuinely scarce, and it means the operator is dealing with two different labor markets, two different human service centers and two different sets of referral sources.
Where Endeavor Sober Homes Are
- Endeavor Sober Living, on Longview Drive in Arnegard, in McKenzie County, serving men and women.
- Endeavor Sober Living Women's Home, in Minot, in Ward County, serving women.
The pairing gives the operator something a single-house provider cannot offer, which is a second option in a different part of the state. A woman placed in the Bakken who needs to be closer to family on the northern tier has somewhere to move without starting over with strangers.
A Recovery Housing Provider the State Funds
North Dakota's Recovery Housing Assistance Program, administered by the Behavioral Health Division of the Department of Health and Human Services, covers up to twelve weeks of living expenses for an eligible resident at a participating home. Endeavor is on the participating provider list for both of its locations. Being on that list means something concrete for a resident and for a referring counselor: the state pays the provider directly, the placement does not depend on the resident having money on discharge day, and the provider has an ongoing relationship with the division that runs behavioral health services statewide. Four providers carry that status in North Dakota. This is one of them.
Coed and Women's Sober Houses Under One Operator
The two houses are configured differently on purpose. Arnegard is coed, which is unusual in this state and solves a real problem for couples in recovery and for anyone in western North Dakota who cannot travel for a gender-matched bed. Minot serves women only, with the single-gender household that many women coming out of treatment specifically ask for. An operator running both can take a referral without first deciding whether the caller fits the one model it offers.
Serving the Bakken and the Souris River Valley
The two service areas have little in common. In McKenzie County, housing costs and jobs both swing with drilling activity, and a fixed weekly cost is what protects a resident from the swing. Around Minot, the draw is a regional hub with a hospital system, a university, an air force base and the human service center for the northern tier. A provider working both is placing residents from oil field crews and from small farm towns in the same organization, and the practical work of keeping fees predictable and rules consistent across that distance is the operator's job.
Reaching Endeavor Sober Living, LLC
Applications and referrals go to the operator, which places residents in whichever house fits. The questions to ask at the operator level differ from the ones about a particular address: how long the company has housed residents in North Dakota, whether it takes referrals from treatment providers, human service centers and the courts, how it files Recovery Housing Assistance Program applications and what happens when the twelve weeks run out, how deposits and fees are documented and refunded, and how a complaint gets escalated past a house manager to the people who own the business.
