CREOKS Behavioral Health Services

About CREOKS Behavioral Health Services

CREOKS Behavioral Health Services is a nonprofit behavioral health provider based in eastern Oklahoma, operating certified women's recovery housing in Okfuskee and Okmulgee counties. Both of its listed residences are certified at Level 3 by the Oklahoma Alliance for Recovery Resources.

A Regional Behavioral Health Provider

CREOKS runs a wide range of clinical services across eastern and central Oklahoma, including outpatient counseling, medication-assisted treatment, and programming tied to drug court and mental health court. Recovery housing is one piece of a much larger organization, which means a resident in one of its houses has access to clinical services from the same provider.

Two Spring River Recovery Homes

CREOKS operates two certified women's residences under the Spring River Recovery Home name:

  • Spring River Recovery Home Okemah, in Okemah.
  • Spring River Recovery Home Okmulgee, in Okmulgee.

Both are certified at Level 3 and both serve women exclusively, part of a smaller residential arm alongside CREOKS's much larger outpatient network.

Level 3 Certification for Both Residences

OKARR, the Oklahoma Alliance for Recovery Resources, is Oklahoma's sole recognized certifier of recovery residences. Level 3 certification requires a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and acceptance of outside complaint review, alongside a more structured staffing model than peer-run housing. Both Spring River homes carry current certification through mid-2027.

Clinical Services Alongside Housing

Because CREOKS is a behavioral health provider first, a resident of either Spring River home can draw on the organization's outpatient counseling and medication-assisted treatment without switching agencies. That continuity matters most for someone managing a co-occurring condition alongside substance use.

Serving East-Central Oklahoma

Okemah, in Okfuskee County, and Okmulgee, in Okmulgee County, sit south of Tulsa in east-central Oklahoma, a region with fewer certified recovery residences than the Tulsa or Oklahoma City metros. CREOKS's two Spring River homes give women in this part of the state a certified option without traveling to a larger city.
