Three Licensed Houses in Scranton

Cold Bore Recovery operates three recovery houses in the city:

• A men's house on Prospect Avenue.
• A second men's house nearby on Prospect Avenue.
• A women's house on Crown Avenue.

Two of the three sit on the same block of Prospect Avenue, and the third is a separate address on the city's East Side reserved for women.

Serving Men and Women Separately

Every Cold Bore Recovery house is single-gender. Men apply to either Prospect Avenue house, and women apply to the Crown Avenue house. Keeping the split at the house level means rules and shared space are written for one population at each address.

Licensed by DDAP Under Act 59

All three Cold Bore Recovery houses are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs as recovery houses under Act 59 of 2017. Licensure in Pennsylvania is voluntary, so an operator that carries it on every address it runs has chosen to work inside DDAP's inspection and disclosure requirements.
