About Came to Believe Sober Living

Came to Believe Sober Living is a sober living operator in West Palm Beach, Florida, running men's recovery housing across Palm Beach County.

A Palm Beach County Sober Living Operator

Bill Niemi founded Came to Believe in April 2015, more than a decade into his own recovery, and built the organization around men's housing in the West Palm Beach area, including Royal Palm Beach. The operator runs its program on a flat weekly fee set the same for every resident, with a one-time intake charge that covers the first week's rent.

A Founder-Led Recovery Model

The organization's daily structure follows directly from its founder's own path: a sponsor requirement, at least five twelve-step meetings weekly, a Thursday Big Book study, and zero tolerance for a failed drug or alcohol test. Staff also help residents work through medical, legal and financial issues that recovery tends to surface, and involve family members when that support is wanted.

Voluntary Certification for Florida Recovery Housing

Florida's recovery residences certify through the Florida Association of Recovery Residences, the sole Department of Children and Families-approved credentialing body in the state, under a program that is voluntary. A certified operator has agreed to disclosed fees and rules and to outside review of complaints.

Serving the West Palm Beach Area

Came to Believe's men's housing sits in and around West Palm Beach, the seat of Palm Beach County, inside a coastal corridor with dense outpatient and 12-step infrastructure running from Lake Worth south toward Delray Beach and Boynton Beach. Interstate 95, US 1 and Palm Beach County's Tri-Rail service keep the wider area reachable without a car.

Reaching Came to Believe Sober Living

Applications go through the operator directly. Worth asking before move-in: exactly what the weekly fee covers, how the meeting and sponsor requirements are tracked, what happens after a positive test, and whether medication for opioid use disorder is accommodated alongside the twelve-step framework.
