Balance House
About Balance House
Balance House is a young men's residential recovery operator based in Holladay, Utah, running a phased sober living program across three addresses in Salt Lake County: Holladay, Cottonwood Heights and West Jordan.
A Salt Lake Valley Recovery Housing Provider
Balance House focuses specifically on young men working through substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. The organization builds its program around structured housing instead of clinical treatment alone that moves a resident through defined phases as sobriety, emotional health and independence take hold.
Three Men's Sober Homes Across the Valley
Balance House operates recovery housing at:
- Highland Drive, in Holladay, the organization's primary location.
- Enchanted Hills Drive, in Cottonwood Heights.
- 2200 West, in West Jordan.
All three sit inside Salt Lake County's dense residential core along the Wasatch Front, within a short drive of one another.
A Program Built on a Personal Constitution
Balance House organizes its recovery model around four elements it calls a Personal Constitution: honesty, emotional health, social stability and self-sufficiency. The program treats those four areas as the real measure of success, defined as leaving with emotional and financial stability, sound decision-making, and a full year of sobriety where that applies. Housing is structured to match, with residents progressing through phases instead of remaining in one static setting.
How Utah Regulates This Kind of Housing
Every Balance House address operates under a license from the Utah Department of Health and Human Services Office of Licensing, required under Utah Code 26B-2-117 and Administrative Code R501-18. Utah's license is a single, binary standard, and Balance House has kept it current across all three of its locations.
Serving Young Men Across Salt Lake County
Holladay, Cottonwood Heights and West Jordan are all Salt Lake County municipalities inside the greater Salt Lake City metro, and together they give Balance House a footprint that spans the eastern foothills to the valley's southwest side. A resident moving between phases stays inside the same metro area, keeping the same outpatient providers, employers and family connections throughout the program.
Reaching Balance House
Admissions, phase placement, current availability and program fees are handled by Balance House centrally, not address by address. Anyone considering the program should contact the operator directly to discuss which of its three Salt Lake County locations fits a given stage of recovery.
