Agape Unlimited
About Agape Unlimited
Agape Unlimited is a sober living operator based in Bremerton, Washington, running a certified permanent supportive housing program across Kitsap County. The nonprofit has provided treatment and support services in the county since 1985, and its housing program now covers more than twenty units and houses in Bremerton and Port Orchard, all certified by the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences.
A Kitsap County Recovery Housing Provider
Agape Unlimited runs housing as one piece of a wider treatment organization. Alongside the residences, the nonprofit operates outpatient chemical dependency treatment, mental health services and a treatment navigator program, so a resident in any Agape Unlimited unit is connected to the same organization for clinical care and case management, not a landlord working separately from a treatment provider.
A Scattered-Site Model Across Bremerton and Port Orchard
Instead of one building, Agape Unlimited houses residents across a network of scattered-site units and dedicated properties:
- Poindexter 1, Poindexter 2 and the Poindexter Shop, in Bremerton.
- Pleasant 1, Pleasant 2 and 631 Pleasant, in Bremerton.
- Park Ave 1, Park Ave 2 and the Park Family Unit, in Bremerton.
- Summit Ave, A Summit Ave and Summit Ave 2, in Bremerton.
- A Warren, B Warren and the Warren Family Unit, in Bremerton.
- Upper Callow Ave and Agape Crawford, in Bremerton.
- The Agape Women's House, in Bremerton.
- Sisyphus II, an 18-bed coed facility with additional leased community units, in Bremerton.
- The Koinonia Inn Transitional Housing Program, a 14-bed maternal transitional home in Port Orchard.
That spread means a resident is placed close to the specific part of the county where a unit has an opening.
WAQRR Certification Across the Program
Every unit in the program is certified by the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences at Level 2. WAQRR certification is voluntary in Washington, and an operator carrying it across a program this size has committed the whole portfolio, and not just a flagship address, to a published code of ethics, written disclosure before move-in, and an outside complaint process.
Housing for Men, Women and Families
The program is not limited to single adults. Several units house men and women together as coed households, the Agape Women's House is designated specifically for women, and the family units let a parent in recovery remain with their children. That range lets Agape Unlimited place a wider mix of referrals than an operator running only single-gender houses.
Serving Kitsap County from Bremerton
Bremerton is the county seat of Kitsap County and the hub for the county's courts, outpatient treatment capacity and social services, with the Washington State Ferries terminal linking the city directly to Seattle. Port Orchard sits a short foot-ferry ride away on the south shore. Residents in any Agape Unlimited unit reach the county's core services through Kitsap Transit without needing a car.
Reaching Agape Unlimited's Recovery Housing Program
Referrals and applications go through Agape Unlimited directly. The questions worth asking at the operator level are which unit currently has an opening, whether a specific unit fits a single resident, a couple or a family, and how the nonprofit's outpatient and case management services connect to whichever address a resident is placed in.
