Restoration House is a women's sober living home in Yelm, Washington, in Thurston County, certified through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences and operated by the nonprofit Truly Motivated Transitional Living.
A Women's Sober House on Bald Hill Road
Restoration House gives women in recovery a single-gender household on Truly Motivated Transitional Living's Yelm campus, east of Rainier along the Nisqually Valley. The organization runs its housing as a program built on health, hope and wholeness, and for a woman comparing options, WAQRR certification means the house has committed in writing to fees, rules and a complaint process that exists outside the four walls she lives in.
What WAQRR Certification Establishes
Certification through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences is voluntary, and Restoration House has it anyway. WAQRR requires a published code of ethics, written disclosure before move-in, and outside review of complaints, the kind of record a family checking in on a woman from out of town can actually verify.
Programming Built Around the Genesis Process
Women at Restoration House take part in TMTL's weekly Genesis Process group along with on-site twelve-step and faith-based meetings. Staff coaching, counseling referrals, and life skills work on resumes, budgeting and conflict resolution fill out the rest of the week, the same structure the organization runs at its other Yelm houses.
Recovery Housing for Thurston County
Yelm sits east of Olympia along the Nisqually Valley corridor, and Restoration House's location keeps residents inside reach of Thurston County's courts, outpatient providers and the wider Olympia-Lacey-Tumwater service area without putting them in the middle of it.
Alongside Foundation House and Promise House
Restoration House is the only women's home among the three Truly Motivated Transitional Living runs on its Bald Hill Road property; Foundation House and Promise House serve men on the same site. A resident who later needs a different level of oversight can raise it with staff who already run the campus.
About Women's House 4
Each home has a house manager who oversees the day to day happenings in the homes. All four of our homes are within walking distance of each other with access to our community meeting hall and dining room. Truly Motivated comfortably houses up to 23 residents. For over a decade now, we have witnessed extraordinary success. Mothers and fathers are reunited with children, and complete family restorations take place consistently. Lack of dignity and self respect turn into confidence and hope. Fear and devastation turn into courage and peace. Employment is secured, driving privileges are restored, legal matters are resolved and successful transitions to independent living happen regularly. While abstinence is a requirement for participation in our program and a foundational part of recovery, we consider achieving milestones to be a more insightful and appropriate gauge of success. In addition to sobriety, we track and monitor achievements that indicate progression toward independent living that are true signs of transformation and rehabilitation.
We have developed partnerships with Washington State Department of Corrections and are proud to be a safe next step for those exiting incarceration. Moreover, we have been endorsed by the Tri- County Area Supervisor of Department of Corrections as “the best transitional living facility in the state.†We also have great working relationships with a number of local businesses and churches, as well as other agencies in the industry such as in- and out-patient treatment providers, and funding resources. We believe that through these partnerships and networking we give our residents a greater opportunity to have long term success in society.
Truly Motivated's House 4- Women's Facility
House 4 is located in Yelm, one block from our men's homes. This updated rambler features a remodeled kitchen, two fireplaces and a garden like setting with a water feature in the back yard. The property is nestled behind a neighboring set of greenhouses and set back from the road, providing a sense of sanctuary and privacy.
