Howlett House Men's Recovery Home

About this Recovery Home

Howlett House is a Level 2 certified men's sober living home in Poulsbo, Washington, in Kitsap County, operated by Gambit Recovery.

A Men's Sober House on the Kitsap Peninsula

Howlett House sits in Poulsbo, a Kitsap County waterfront town connected to Seattle by ferry across Puget Sound. That setting gives residents a quieter recovery environment than the city itself while keeping the metro area's job market reachable.

Level 2 Certification Through WAQRR

Howlett House carries Level 2 certification from the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences, a designation that commits the house to a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules, and an outside complaint process.

A Model Built on Accountability

Gambit Recovery structures its houses around verified meeting attendance, employment expectations and random drug and alcohol testing, with clinical treatment left to outside providers. The approach favors peer community and daily accountability over an in-house treatment program.

Kitsap County and a National Network

Gambit Recovery has operated sober living for more than fifteen years across four states, and Howlett House is one of two homes it currently runs in Poulsbo. Kitsap County's ferry connections give residents access to Seattle without living in it, a balance that suits early recovery well.
