About this Recovery Home

West Sound Treatment Center - New Start Men's House is a sober living home in Bremerton, Washington, in Kitsap County, holding WAQRR Level 2 certification. A Men's Transitional Sober House in Bremerton

West Sound Treatment Center - New Start Men's House houses men only, and that restriction lets West Sound Treatment Center run one consistent set of house rules, meetings and shared space for the residents there. Bremerton is the seat of Kitsap County and the hub of the Kitsap Peninsula's treatment and transit network, putting residents close to the outpatient providers and transportation the organization builds its housing around.

What WAQRR Level 2 Certification Establishes

West Sound Treatment Center - New Start Men's House holds Level 2 certification through the Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences, the state's NARR affiliate. Level 2 describes peer-managed sober housing with structured expectations and clinical care delivered by outside providers. Certification is voluntary in Washington, so the designation reflects West Sound Treatment Center's own decision to publish its rules, follow a code of ethics and accept outside complaint review.

Case Management and Transportation Behind the House

West Sound Treatment Center describes its transitional houses as providing case management, transportation and other support services to residents alongside the housing itself. For a resident without a car, transportation support tied directly to the house is often the difference between keeping an outpatient appointment and missing it.

A 40-Year Kitsap Peninsula Treatment Provider

West Sound Treatment Center maintains offices in Bremerton, Poulsbo and Port Orchard, and has provided substance use disorder treatment and related services on the Kitsap Peninsula for four decades. West Sound Treatment Center - New Start Men's House sits inside that longer-standing treatment infrastructure instead of operating as a standalone sober house with no clinical backing.
