Socorro House Women's Recovery Home

About this Recovery Home

Socorro House is a women's sober living home in Houston, Texas, in Harris County.

A Women's Sober House Operated by Breaking Free

Socorro House is the residential program run by Breaking Free Supportive Housing, a Houston organization focused on women moving out of treatment and into independent living. No street address is published for the house, and inquiries go directly through the operator.

Independent Living Support and Transitional Planning

Residents at Socorro House receive independent living support alongside recovery meetings and community engagement, with transitional planning built in as residents approach the point of moving into fully independent housing. That structure sets Socorro House up as a stepping stone, with a resident expected to move on to her own address over time.

TROHN Level II Certification

Socorro House is certified through the Texas Recovery Oriented Housing Network, known as TROHN, at Level II, the monitored tier of certification. That level fits a house focused on stability and transition more than intensive supervision.

Applying to Socorro House

Breaking Free keeps regular weekday and Saturday hours for inquiries about Socorro House. Worth asking before applying: current availability, what the independent living support covers week to week, and how long residents typically stay before moving toward fully independent housing.
